Downtown Cheboygan’s Breakfast with the Bunny will be held at Mulligan’s (320 N. Main Street) with a morning full of pancakes, photos, and springtime fun for the whole family. Seating times are available at 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am, and 11:00am, and tickets are $12 each, with children ages 3 and under eating free (when purchasing your tickets, please add the free 3 & under ticket(s) for each of your littles to secure their seats). Tickets must be purchased online at https://givebutter.com/EasterOnMain Be sure to use code EARLYBUNNY to receive $2 off each ticket when purchased prior to March 27th. A limited number of tickets may be available the day of the event at Mulligan’s for $15 each (cash only), but seating at your preferred time cannot be guaranteed — advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Breakfast will be catered by Chris Cakes of Michigan — Guinness Book of World Record holders, as seen on the Food Network, and famous for their flying pancake flipping skills. The meal includes eggs, two sausage links, all-you-can-eat pancakes, Tang, and coffee from Cheboygan Coffee Roasters. Families will also enjoy a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera), receive the first egg of the Downtown Egg Hop, and a basket to collect eggs along the way. The Downtown Egg Hop runs from 10am to 12pm and is free for all children — no breakfast ticket required to participate. Main Street volunteers will be stationed in the entryway of Mulligan’s with Egg Hop maps highlighting participating downtown businesses offering eggs and activities. Once children complete the hop, families can visit the Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce office in Washington Park to collect their prize. The Michigan Classic Tractor and Farm Association will provide a hay wagon shuttle to transport families back to the north end of Main Street and nearby parking areas. Suggested parking locations include City Hall/Opera House, Festival Square, and the Water Street parking lot. Join us for a morning of celebration, community, and classic downtown traditions as we welcome spring together. The Earth Week Expo is free to attend and open to the public! Come to the Cheboygan Area Public Library to see displays and talk with experts. Activities include, pet a chicken, construct a worm bin, use robots to clean an environment, paint a wood cookie, color a seed packet, plant a seed, observe amphibians, explore animal skulls, meet Quaker parrots, ferrets, and a bearded dragon, build a bird house (supplies limited), create a mobile with natural materials, match birds to their nests activity and more. Bring your electronic waste to the collection site on the west side of the former West Elementary School now the Headstart program building. Drop of e-waste for free, except a minimal charge for CRT TVs. Visit earthweekplus.org for a complete list of e-waste accepted.
